Well, the DIY is almost done, a potential tenant just looked round, the car is sold, and the strange sounds coming from the freezer must mean it has finally started to defrost. Surely we are nearly ready to go?!
Aha, but I am forgetting we still need to put up the new shower for the tenants, head out to asda to buy last minute things and to actually pack our bags!
It has been a fraught few weeks trying to sort everything out but what has been more difficult was saying goodbye to all our lovely family, friends and colleagues. Hopefully our move to Sydney will be worth it. I'm trying to think of the great weather and beaches - it's not too hard today since it seems to be snowing already in London!
I'm also reassured by knowing that I know have a phone interview set up for a new job on Tuesday after we arrive, fingers crossed!
I've never actually been to Sydney or Australia before, another source of trepidation, so I'm looking forward to documenting my first impressions on this blog soon! Hopefully writing this will be a good way to show everyone back home how it's going, and I'm going to try to write down any top tips I discover for anyone else who moves over!
So the 23 hour direct flight is tomorrow evening, I don't think what we're about to do will really hit me until I'm on that plane - hope we can reorganise our seats to sit together!
For now, back to the cleaning!
